One month into Lockdown

What's next ......

Dear Friends

Have you found your new normal? Some of us have settled into new routines and been enjoying the good weather and opportunities to catch up on all those little jobs which have been waiting for weeks, months or even years. For others, every day is a little bit of a struggle or stressful, whether that’s helping children to continue their school work whilst trying to work from home, caring for other vulnerable adults or simply getting through the day alone. I think our range of emotions move along a wide scale each and every day, particularly as we continue to hear news of more deaths but equally await the news when things are turning a corner and some restrictions are lifted. There is no doubt the restrictions are hard but we dig deep and draw comfort that they are reducing the number of cases of Covid-19 in our community and hospitals. Once again, we want to say ‘THANK YOU’, to NHS staff, carers and all keyworkers.

So what is next ......

Having spoken to some of our clients, the place our appointments and treatments occupy in our minds are also on that wide scale. Some clients have been asking how quickly they might be seen for their next treatment when we are allowed to open, but for others their treatments are the very last thing on their minds and we totally understand that. However, we wanted to let you know that when we are allowed to open and it is safe to do so, we have a detailed plan in place to get the clinic back up and running.

When the clinic re-opens we will be contacting all clients who had appointments booked during the closure period to rebook appointments or discuss future appointments and treatment plans. We appreciate that some of you will have been in the middle of courses. Please be assured that we will be examining your individual record carefully and offering you ‘catch-up’ treatments to maximise the benefits of treatments you have already received.

We will be regularly posting on social media all our clinic news, articles and blogs. We are publishing more frequent newsletters and through all these communication methods we will notify you when we are in a position to re-open the clinic.

IPL Hair Removal

With hairdressers closed, some of us have the odd (or much more) grey hair coming through and are turning to various methods of disguise or we are simply embracing our natural colour. This thought has made us think about those clients who come to us for hair removal. Your treatments to date will not be wasted if you need to shave. This applies to all areas of the body. It is not true that hair will grow back stronger and thicker if you shave. So please do not be miserable thinking you must leave the hair until you get to see us again. However, if you do want to resume treatments please remember that we cannot treat you if you have an active tan. Continue to use a good SPF to protect your skin in all ways.

Top Tips

We have been asked what our top three skincare tips would be during these times. So here they are …………

Continue to cleanse your skin each morning and evening, whether you have been wearing make-up or not.
Remember to use a suscreen every day.
……. and if you were already using retinol at night, try to continue doing so.
