My store cupboard challenge ...... confirms Medik8 is the best for me!
Lock down has bought all sorts of challenges for us all, but I thought I would set a few of my own during the enforced period of time at home.
Over recent years I have become more and more conscious of the impact of waste on our planet. I decided to set myself the challenge of using up the more unusual ingredients in my store cupboard instead of throwing them away. Those items bought to try a recipe only to sit forlorn in the back of the cupboard for months. This story will relate to Medik8 products in the end, so stick with me!!
The green lentil curry ended up very hot indeed and nearly a cartoon of yoghurt was used to calm the heat, the giant couscous with tomatoes and cod was a huge success, and the chocolate brownies made with cacao powder were a disaster as brownies but made a reasonable biscuit. There were plenty more experiments and our meal times were at times a lovely surprise, sometimes disappointing but always entertaining.
Encouraged by mostly successes, I decided to ‘use up’ all the products in my bathroom cupboards. The shampoos and conditioners bought and half used before a better one was found or recommended by my hairdresser. Foam cleansers (as that’s the way I like to cleanse) bought before I learnt about Medik8. Being careful not to mention product names, a really simple face wash left my skin feeling tight and dry – so that one went straight in the bin after all. After getting my skin back to normal using my Medik8 Gentle Foam Cleanser I didn’t want to give up on my cupboard clearing exercise. A much more expensive brand was next to be tried with the same result. I then remembered I always used to use toner with this one. Out comes the old toner, which resulted in not only a dry, tight skin but redness as well.
It’s a bit of a tale to explain I love my Medik8 products. They are the best product range I’ve used during 40 years of skin care. I can assure you I have tired a lot of brands in that time. Just in case you are wondering, all those old products have been assigned to the bin, I have beautiful clutter free cupboards and my skin is feeling good again after returning to my usual Medik8 routine. Here are the products I use every day. Ask me in the clinic about my skin care routine next time you see me.
